K-6 GRADE

In spite of the Taliban invasion of Afghanistan, girls in K – 6th grade are permitted to attend school.  Educate Girls Now supports and empowers mothers to insure their young girls continue their education and also receive tutoring in core subjects such as English, math, and science. Some young girls study from home due to concerns regarding safety and security.

Elementary students receive a monthly visit and call from our team members who review school work and ensure mothers have the food and supplies needed to care for their children. Students are provided with additional books and guidance in core subjects.

By empowering and supporting mothers, EGN is improving the current and future lives of our youngest girls, and their families. Early childhood support is essential to nurturing the well-being of our youngest children. Our proven program demonstrates that girls who participate in Educate Girls Now from early childhood are more likely to pursue a college education.
